Factors of everyday life can put an abundant strain on a relationship resulting in resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, and miscommunication. When problems go unresolved, or a partner is suffering from mental illness or health complications, one can feel helpless or have feelings of guilt, shame, or anxiety. Not all problems can be resolved, but they can all be better understood through therapy.
Couples often seek couples or marriage counseling when the relationship is at a standstill, or if they are unsure whether or not the relationship is worth salvaging. For couples, I offer traditional marriage therapy from a family systems perspective for those who want to improve their relationship, as well as discernment counseling for those trying to determine whether to stay in the relationship.
